Green Initiatives

We have made it our mission to ensure that our business impacts the environment as little as possible and have already enacted multiple initiatives to reduce emissions and increase fuel economy to leave as small a carbon footprint as possible. The following programs have yielded significant reductions in fuel consumption while at the same time reducing overall costs.

	Trailer Skirts to Increase Fuel Economy By reducing drag and redirecting airflow around the wheels, trailer skirts can provide up to 7% fuel savings at a speed of 100km/h. We have noted a consistent overall 5%-7% reduction in fuel consumption after implementing trailer skirts on our fleet.
	Wide Base Tires to Increase Fuel Economy A single Wide Base tire as opposed to a traditional two-tire configuration can save on average 2750 litres of fuel per year per truck (based on 200,000 kilometers per year). Fuel mileage is increased by 3% by converting to wide base tires, and results in considerable fuel savings as well as reduced environmental impact.
	Fleet Modernization Morrice Transportation only utilizes trucks of model year 2017 or newer. As a result, our fleet emits lower emissions and has increased fuel mileage in comparison to prior year models. This reduces environmental impact, as well as equips our drivers with the latest tools to ensure the same consistency and reliable service our clients have come to expect.
